– Luke Wood
I miss something I could never have know.
I miss a place I’ve never been, and a relationship that I can not remember. But I know the ache of it, the yearn to return there.I miss a person who has done the greatest for the least before they even existed.
I want to know Eden, The way earth was made to work, and feel, and how I am to see it.
The few time’s I have cried in worship, I realize now, that it was in longing for a...
Moralistic Therapeutic Deism - A must read article... →
evanolsen:
This incredible research done by the National Study of Youth and Religion at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill highlights what faith (or better, lack thereof) American teenagers have. The results are shocking. The “Christianity” the profess to have is actually more clearly defined as Moralistic Therapeutic Deism.
“Moralistic Therapeutic Deism consists of beliefs like...
today...in a nutshell: wounding.
In about 4 months I have realized:
That I am a hearty fool. That his grace covers my….numerous short comings. That I hate the cold, HATE the cold. That I can’t fast when I’m lonely…I can’t pray when I’m pre-occupied,I can be more lonely in a crowd then alone(weird I know). I don’t count cost very well, and I am sorely dependent on electronics. (and they...
Does anyone know how to fix an ITouch...
That fell in water.
I put it in a bag of rice currently, but the screen still isn’t working :(
It was basically my GPS up here.
It's time to start:
Keeping commitments.
Reading with a passion.
Having the good aspects of a perfectionist.
Turning off the tv & phone at a decent hour.
Loving people the way Christ does.
Knowing the word like a pharisee but living it like Jesus.
Keeping up with people.
Keeping up with bills.
Keeping up with personal studies.
Keeping up with my blog…and taking pictures for it.
So yeah…I hope I have...

My new life thus far:
Well it’s going to be hard to sum all of it up. But here it goes.
I left Tallahassee Florida on my best friend’s birthday (sorry again, Evan) and had an amazing smooth 14 hour drive to Tulsa,OK. we arrived to an old friend who now looks like Jesus in an OCC hoodie. He was extremely amazing, for the next 6 days he would take us around town bought 90% of our meals and showed us...

Moving is a big deal.
I haven’t felt it till today, but this is massive.
Nothing will be the same.
And that is good. But a little scary.
I think strangely enough I will miss the capitol more than any place in the city.
I thought it would be IHOP or Tom Brown. But IHOP’s not about the location its about the act of what happens and the people you do it with. Tom Brown can have really crappy days too.
But...

Trust Him
bethanyjulia:
Stop trying to do it by yourself and learn to trust God.
It is time to let go! Give Him control and it will all be okay.
Trust, it is so very important but so very scary.
