I haven’t felt it till today, but this is massive.
Nothing will be the same.
And that is good. But a little scary.
I think strangely enough I will miss the capitol more than any place in the city.
I thought it would be IHOP or Tom Brown. But IHOP’s not about the location its about the act of what happens and the people you do it with. Tom Brown can have really crappy days too.
But the Capitol and the downtown area are filled with history and beauty and Bustle.
There is no other place like it.
They are many reasons I like it but you should just go down there and find out about it for yourself.
I’ve also noticed that I love the canopy roads at night more than I love sleeping in late, or back to the future being re-released.
They are amazing, and Tallahassee has more than anywhere in the country.
I really hope I come back here with a girlfriend/wife cause its amazingly romantic. From the way we hang are Christmas lights off them, to the fireworks peeking through them in July to the fog encircling them on a cold morning.
I’ve also come to a place in my life I’ve never know before while I’ve lived here.I’m used to it here.
I’ve moved some much before I moved here that I never was truely settled in a place before I left it. Here I’m not only settled but comfortable and know.
Everyday I could go to a place I’ve never been and bump into someone I know, and it’s not a super small town!
Any church I go to in town, I know the history, the pastor, the worship leader, a person or a few who go there. It’s really neat.
And talking about the people that’s what makes this place so worth living in for the rest of my life.
I’ve never met so many intelligent, inspiring, God fearing, innovative people.I’m sure they are all around America, but it’s just amazing in tally. The hearts of complete families moving as one in this city is amazing as well, from the Olsen’s to the Nicholsons to the Apples and the Vorans, to the Wilsons and Polstons to the McClures to the Kimmels, The Jacksons and Todds.
Amazing, Amazing people.
If you don’t know the in jokes of Evan and Jon (Nicholson) get to know them! they are inviting and genius. Two of the most unique and uplifting people on the planet, with great senses of humor to boot.
If you haven’t seen the dedication and Love in jared when he talks to you about something on his heart or teaches about Justice or consecration or just about some new thing he is learning, its a real worth while experience.
If you haven’t gone on a walk with someone in the Nicholson family at Tom brown, do it.You will learn more than you wanted to know about nature.Plus you will hear great stories about life, ligature, geekdom, and quotes from the greatest movies you’ve never seen.
And I could make countless post about IHOP Tallahassee. From Tenney’s amazing father’s heart, Pam’s passion from governmental intercession,Evan’s heartfelt devos that always have the most amazing musical interludes you’ve ever heard.
And Friday Night Burn!
Come on! every Friday its like a family reunion with family you actually like.Tenney always goes deep with notes that can keep you studding till next Friday, they he spices gingerly with comedy from his past or dad humor. The worship is always exciting, know that God can Shanghai it at any moment and we be catapulted into prophetic worship or intercession or meditative selahs. And the best part is ministry time.God never encounters you the same, always having a new aspect of himself to reveal and a new part in you to work on.
If you haven’t been to a whole FNB service you don’t know what the house of prayer is all about. Just sayin’.
Now to finish cleaning out my room and do one final run to the bank.
I love you Tallahassee.
I really do.
